How would you guys feel about a separate 3DS downloadable app made purely for battling, along the lines of Pokemon Battle Revolution. More animations, models and animations polished overall, and that could use pokemon from your x/y save and communicate with other x and y games so you can use it even if your opponent doesn't? Without all the areas, music, and other things that take up space in the cartridge games, more space can be dedicated to making battles look as pretty as possible. Heck, maybe even have rental pokemon available to make it more accessible to casuals who don't train battle worthy mons.
Maybe it could be made as part of a new 3D Pokedex Pro iteration (updated to X/Y), since it'll have all the models anyway.
