After finishing Red I decided to play through Blue with an exclusive team. This time the Elite Four was easy but Blue was much harder, his Alakazam and Gyarados swept me and I had to keep trying until the RNG went my way. On the successful attempt Persian somehow beat Alakazam on its own with nobody fainting, and it got the finishing blow on Gyarados after Victreebel and Pinsir weakened it. The others were easily handled by Victreebel, Blastoise, and Ninetales.
Next I will probably unironically play through Yellow, because I think my goal is to have a finished save in every game with all version exclusives available
