Clauncher was my most desired 6th gen Pokemon, and I couldn't just catch it since I had Y. Here I am with my very first Clauncher, a fucking shiny at that, and I feel nothing. It was too easy. I guess without the effort like I put in for my shiny Dragalge, it just wasn't the same.
We don't desire and enjoy shinies because they're different, we love them because they're rare. People complain shinies are too hard and difficult to find, when in reality, that scarcity is what primarily attracts us to them and makes us admire them so much, if not just for the color.
That's why I enjoy having shitty luck when it comes to consecutive fishing. Only found a Dragalge so far, after about 300 reels, but it was a magic feeling I had when I saw those sparkles.
