I was invited to a "party" back in high school that turned out to just be literally dozens of Smash autists gathered in some guy's house playing Melee on CRT TVs recording their matches on VCRs and sleeping on the floor. They were all playing for money too. Anyone who thinks Smash is anything more than a party game to play while drunk with your bros is a certified autistic. Pokemon is at least a game you can play fairly competitively without snorting a line of Adderall beforehand.
