Masuda has become too senile and dogmatic, letting mere business and money become the priority over the sake of the actual franchise, targeting cheap demographics that will bring high reward with little to no effort.
Sugimori started out as an amateur but energetic designer, but +15 yrs later he has lost his drive and hasn't improved even if his job depends on it. The fact that he overlooks things like basic jaw function and still adds stupid floating mouths on things regardless of if they're avian, canid, or reptile in origin among other things makes me surprised that he's still the final design curator. There are many in the design department that would do a better job than him.
Satoshi Tajiri... this guy has pretty much no hand in the series anymore, i believe. He seems to be more of a supervisor; the kind of guy that says "i like that" or "i don't like that". I don't blame him though. He's literally autistic, realized his vision and later wen't to pursue other "visions" that caught his interests.
And basking in millions of Autismbux.That being said, i do believe that there are people in GF who are hard working and love the series, they are just too restrained by their higher-ups to be able to have a say in the final product. For shame, really.
