>>56354392To a certain extent, it's not the design's fault really. There are plenty of pokemon from the Sprite's days that just look awful in the 3D model forms. Ferrothorn, Tropius, Hippowdon, Hitmontop, Electross, Xatu, Feraligator, Haxorus, Skarmory. If your only exposure to these Pokemon were their XY models, you'd probably think they're pretty boring, ugly, or offputting.
The problem is Gen 6 mons and beyond don't have the luxury of knowing a good in-game design. I bet there would be tons of NuGen mons that would be loved if only they looked good in one game.
