Lets start with the basics:

- 3D graphics
- Trainers only have one pokemon each
- Cutscenes every three steps
- Change Blue to a nice guy because don't want to hurt the kids' feelings
- Dungeons (Mt Moon/Rock Tunnel/Seafoam/Victory Road) too complex, replace with a straight tunnel

Not to sound condescending, but it seems teens now didn't really grow up with Pokemon, they grew up more with stuff like Minecraft, CoD, Pewdiepie, and Madden.

I've only ever played Red when I was a kid and had the nostalgic urge to replay it, but am I missing anything by not playing a more recent version? Did any gen make objective improvements that make red and blue feel unplayable now?
