As appealing as a pseudo would be, Dratini and Dragonair are plain shit for way too long, and this is fuckin JOHTO. We ain't hitting L55 until we get past the E4, and I'm not dragging dead weight for that long. So Trapinch it was, which dealt the Dratini hand to my rival. That'll be a problem come Mt. Moon, I expect.
Good first few encounters, though I had to snag them from full health since Isis would literally oneshot any of them as she did on my very first encounter, a Swinub. Rest in piss, possible Mamoswine. Very unlikely to use the Puff for more than a sac.
