>>32097993It's a powerful design is why. I've personally always disliked it but to deny it being successful or to claim it's a bad design is just foolish.
It's the same with any controversial Pokemon - they all have such strong designs that it's hard to put them aside, most people are gonna have strong feelings on them one way or another. The starters, legendaries and pseudos all fit to this because they're so important and therefore have the most amount of effort and care put into their designs, resulting in their dominant designs.
