It has a good Android client and I've been looking for something like this for my phone for years.
It's highly moddable, I can remake it to my tastes.
It has a nice community.
It's not stagnating: I've started not that long ago and they've already added team preview, Zorua and have shown a fucking awesome event dungeon. Sinnoh is promised to come very soon. That's why you can bitch about info being outdated: the game's improving, lol. There are new guides on the forums.
It does not have P2W and its ingame currency is ridiculously easy to get — but there's no crazy inflation.
And yes, it is a Pokemon game. A good cozy Pokemon game I can play with other people.
