>>52993478The only thing about BDSP that was good was the underground, except within the same breath they turned secret bases into trophy cases in the name of muh faithful.
I could make a whole laundry list of reasons as I have before in threads like these, but for a majority of the problems, it boils down to being faithful in ways that keep poor design choices (that platinum fixed for a reason) but changed things that were good even in DP, again, like secret bases. Things like the art style also falls into this category in some ways. While I understand art style is subjective, DPPt were never chibi due to artistic choice, it was hardware limitation. Why transition between chibi and non-chibi otherwise? The next stage should have been what the original vision was trying to be despite its limitations. The in-battle art style is the same piss ugly Home style, too.
Reused animations from SwSh, butchered mechanics like Amie and Followers, an unchanged 1:1 map but with new 360 movement leaving you bumping and snagging on edges often, hilariously and notoriously buggy, the Home delays due to coding errors, 1:1 event distribution to those from 15 years ago that continues to leave late players out except it now includes the Platinum outfit with it, to no one's surprise no BF, Contests is now diet Osu!, cut Pokedex despite reusing Home's rendering and leaving out Sylveon in the process while also adding one whole new ribbon for no reason (fuck ribbon master Sylveons I guess!), you only get access to retro sounds in the post game and despite that the music audio is worse than if you just plugged headphones into a DS and listened to the music that way, forced Exp. All in a game not designed for it, and so on.
All of THAT, while at the same time, the other remakes have at least tried to bring something fresh to the table- even LGPE was more enjoyable. Simply put, this game was intentionally roadkill for LA's sake.
>Do not understand the hate for this gameThat's why.
