It's DPPt but with different/varied content and strange but comfy graphics
It's fine? It's a remake of DP with an expanded Underground, different contests, and some different postgame stuff. If you've played Platinum the missing changes from that game will be sorely missed. The overworld 3D chibi shit looks comically awful but the battles themselves look pretty nice, the amount of different arenas depending on where you're fighting and the presence of the opponent trainer models, complete with their own animations, are pretty charming. Also lots of reflections in battles, which look great. HMs are effectively removed as a concept and you can just do them at will once you have the respective badge, which is nice since you no longer need an HM slave, but feels pretty silly since being able to do them all at all times kinda makes half of them useless. There are places where using a HM is supposed to provide a shortcut or way around trainer battles, rewarding you for having them available for use, but now that they're so noncommittal there's no reason not to use them. Not really a problem, but it's just weird that the world design doesn't reflect the change in the philosophy behind HMs. Also this is a completely minor thing but they changed the timing on when a Pokemon escapes after the Poke Ball shakes, it feels really sudden and tense now. Nice touch.
