I thought the same thing about the EX FireRed and LeafGreen cards when I was younger and those are worth quite a lot now. I know the interval of time is much longer from then to now than from Base but I'm getting old and everything after HGSS has just flew by for me. But anyway, the point is people fucking love shiny pieces of paper with fire breathing dragons on them.
