1) When another trainer passes near you, through street pass or whatever method or term used at the time, a wi fi connection is made in real time that seems the separate users' experience into one by means of entering one another's game.
i.e. Trainer A is playing with their 3DS on a subway when Trainer B, with his/her 3DS, enters the subway and subsequently the wi fi range. Trainer A happens to be in the same spot in the game and sees Trainer B pass by in the virtual reality of the game.
From there, trainers are able to communicate, trade, battle and complete tasks together verbatim. Thus a new type of MMO experience is born.
2) Natures are consigned to Pokeamie fulfilling a more appropriate role. Natures of Pokemon now play a role in how Pokemon interact with you instead of being an arbitrary description for what is really a impersonal stat modifier.
3) IVs can now be raised, much easier, visibly, accessibly, through a power training function similar to Pokeathlon with a possible tie in for Pokeathlon. This also gives the game a proper mini-game that is both enjoyable, distracting from the main game, and at the same time beneficial to it.
4) Any and all route trainers are now able to be re-battled infinitely many times, incrementally getting stronger upon successive defeats; of course with an eventual cap to ensure scaling for future training.
5) Secret groves are expanded upon with a secret base component.
