>>34611298It's 3 years between Gen I/III and Gen II/IV, not 2. The unknown time between Gen IV and Gen V could be anywhere from 5 years to 10. Also, iirc, Porygon was invented sometime before the events of Gen I, though we don't know how long ago it was before then. We know SM takes place 2 years after BW2 due to this reference sheet.
