>>>56406376>The head desk guy sounds actively maliciousHead desk and staff were less based on the girl from the comic and more based on people making the man vs bear argument on twitter (as if you needed more reason to never go there)
>>56407643>a "ha ha you see women like abusive men".Part of that belief comes from frustration of abuse being constantly projected onto them, going out of their way to avoid that behavior, and being punished for it, leading to the (extremely wrong) conclusion that women like being treated like garbage. but there's a non-zero percentage of men who believe that, because are so stuck up their own ass they think that the only reason a woman could reject him is if she wants to be miserable, or more disturbingly men who are so spiteful they think any woman who rejects them deserves to be in a abusive relationship.
>If anything I'd say it's Twitter that's designed to piss you off. It's very likely the algorithm will feed you "controversial" posts Thinking about it yes, people say stupid stuff on 4chan, but they aren't supported, they just aren't actively removed. It's essentially a free for all where users decide what ideas survive, and the few things deemed out of line or counter to discussion are deleted or sequestered in a containment board, Also my understanding is 4chan was much better up until the 2016 election mindbroke the world, Not that 4chan was ever "nice" but it was more the wild-west of the internet than the armpit if that makes sense
With Twitter, the loudest most extreme comments are actively rewarded, since the engagement mechanic rewards inflammatory posts. not helping is Musk playing favorites on the rules in regards to who's allowed to post what. And while the lack of anonymity should in theory keep people in line, because ignorance and stupidity aren't punished, all it does is make it easier for bigots and narcissists to attract hoards of flying monkeys while they sit back and rake in monetization bucks
