>Red/Blue: 8/10
The first of their kind, and exceptional games for the time. I find the glitches charming.
>Yellow: 6/10
A recent nuzlocke of Yellow soured me on the game; it just feels like easy mode RB. The experience is really novel, though.
>Gold/Silver: 9/10
Day/Night and days of the week blew me away. Johto is cozy as hell and a pleasure to explore. GS is an incredible upgrade of RB, as it was meant to be.
>Crystal 10/10
For years this was my favorite game. Moving sprites, all the goods from GS, many of my favorite Pokemon.
>Ruby/Sapphire 7/10
Hated these games at first because no Day/Night, but I got over it and had fun. Best part of RS is the NO GATES between routes/towns. Makes the region flow much better than any other.
>Emerald ?/10
Never finished Emerald. The RSE Pokemon selection just doesn't sit well with me.
>Fire Red/Leaf Green 7/10
These games are in a weird spot for me; they're not old enough to be too nostalgic, and they're not advanced enough to feel new. Still good for a bit of fun.
>Diamond/Pearl 6/10
I don't care how slow and flawed they are, I love them. Played an embarrassingly long time on my Diamond cart.
>Platinum 10/10
Just the right amount of challenge, neat region, Day/Night matters, cool postgame island. Just the best.
>Heart Gold/Soul Silver 7/10
+: Physical/special split
-: not a fan of the graphics/music compared to the originals
>Black/White 7/10
The heavy emphasis on story really put me off, even if it is a solid story. Unova is cool, but too linear for my tastes.
>Black 2/White 2 6/10
The garbage story ruins this game for me. The great Pokemon/area/postgame additions aren't enough to make up for it.
>X/Y 7/10
A huge, beautiful shift in the way Pokemon games look. Still a bit too linear and easy. The wifi period before Pokebank went up was GOAT
>Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire 7/10
They added gates to Hoenn. Fuck. At least the rest of the game is fun; DexNav is incredible. Maison is disappointing for being used two years in a row.
