>Pokemon was probably the only gameboy game with that scale>Final Fantasy Adventuretraverse a large world for a gameboy game at least
>Final Fantasy Legend IIgo through multiple worlds on some beanstalk
>Final Fantasy Legend IIItraverse the past present and future of a world in a game
>Star Ocean: Blue SphereTraverse a few planets
>Gen1-2 nailed the realism perfectly. Same with routes, there are no dead ends anymore since xy. But in the other games they always had dead ends, boulders that were just there etc. That's the thing, there were games that nailed that much better than pokemon. ON THE GBA it was no contest so wtf. Also the scenerioes were dull.
The world itself is too tame, you think with monsters that can manipulate shit with their minds, do random things by wagging their fingers and teleportation being invented, the world would be way wackier.
The manga portrayed that much better.
