I ended up choosing Absol over Vanillish, I figured stacking the team against Iris wouldn't mean much if we lose stuff on the way because we don't have an answer to the E4. Having a crit build with Nightslash/Psycho Cut + Super Luck + Scope Lense is fun too.
Unfortunately, BW2 Victory Road doesn't fuck around and I found out the hard way. Trainers pull out a surprising amount of coverage, constantly catching me by surprise. Had to fight a Sigilyph with Bushido's Ice Beam because Rockstar was hurt, and ended up going down to a crit from Air Slash. Really sucks because I really wanted to bring another starter to the end, and losing him on the final stretch is extra painful.
I'm lucky it didn't get any worse too. I was gonna stay in with Flygon on another Sigilyph battle but decided to switch to Chandelure to share XP at the last moment, turns out it had ice beam so that was a near miss. I also didn't realise I was at the end when the rival battle came up, but luckily had Aggron out first. Could've easily lost two more mons right at the end.
Decided to train Twinkle the Starmie as the final member, because at this point I just want something strong to take that final spot.
I'll fight the league when I get home. Movesets will probably change a lot during the league to suit each fight.
