This probably has nothing to do with fixing the main game as this thread implied, but the next game would finally introduce changeable background options for wifi battles. I always found it lame how Aurous is the only pokemon that can make use of Nature Power since the move on paper would benefit allot of pokemon if the battle backgrounds were changeable (Earth Power Typlosion in a Desert background or Draco Meteor Mega-Sceptile in a Space background). VGC obviously wouldn't allow backgrounds to be changeable since it has it's own special background. And to make sure you wouldn't get confused how the Nature Power user used a move that isn't Tri-Attack, team preview would now show the background your opponent is using while you can still use your own chosen background.
X/Y and OR/AS would now have patch updates of these new wifi features just to work alongside the next games.
