That means you need to find ways to burn turns without killing the thing (or having it kill you, likely by burning healing items) as you wait for it to do the right move, think about how awful that is, and how it'll only get worse as you get later into the game and Pokemon have more moves, or possibly don't even have that specific move in their moveset anymore.
