I was also thinking of learning a programming language to make an Android app that's basically like a virtual companion, so I can feel like he's there and I could interact with him and talk to him. I'd release the engine as open source so people can use it with any character they want.
Then LADS came out and it does basically the same thing...I also want(ed) to make a ROMhack of XY/ORAS and put Maxie in Pokémon Amie. I really want to make that a reality.
Man, I have so many yume ideas that will, sadly, probably never come to fruition. The most accessible for a while was an RMXP fangame, I even made some Maxie sprites like this (pic related) and this one
