>>38178558It really wasn't that difficult. With all the attack buffs Cheren used on his Pokemon and defense debuffs I used on them, that battle was basically a Pokemon version of a Spaghetti western gun duel. Whoever took the gun first, won.
At first I tried to use a strategy with Duskull's disable to lock Cheren's Pokemon from using bite, but as it was very unpredictable and Cheren really loved to use Bulk Up on his Pokemon, I disabled that move and he bit me into oblivion. That wasn't the way to go.
I relied on the fact that Cheren didn't attack after buffing for four turns running and won.
Something I'd like to highlight is the fact that Duskull can't learn any movements that deal damage to Normal type Pokemon until level 25 (Pursuit), so I literally had to Struggle my way until I faced the Plasma guy in the Floccesy Ranch that gave me the Frustration TM. Without it I couldn't have defeated Cheren.
Who could have guessed Plasma grunts are in fact good guys?
