Landorus-T is a reliable Stealth Rock setter that can also switch into physical attackers such as Zygarde and Mega Charizard X. Earthquake is Landorus-T's most consistent attack, dealing good damage to targets even without investment. Hidden Power Ice is used to hit Zygarde and opposing Landorus-T. U-turn helps Landorus-T grab momentum, allowing frail teammates to switch in without taking damage. Although these four moves have the highest overall utility, Landorus-T has several additional options that can replace any move except Earthquake depending on what its team requires. Knock Off helps counterplay a variety of opposing defensive threats by removing their items, particularly Celesteela, Clefable, Tapu Bulu, and Zapdos. Furthermore, it removes Choice Scarf from potential offensive checks like Keldeo and synergizes well with Magnezone to combat Shed Shell Skarmory. Stone Edge is an option to make Landorus-T a solid check to Mega Pinsir, prevent Volcarona from setting up a Quiver Dance on it, stop Mantine from coming in freely to remove its Stealth Rock, and counteract Hidden Power Ice Zapdos. If using Leftovers, Protect is also a possible move to scout Choiced attackers, reduce the damage from Z-Moves, and gain a bit more recovery. Hidden Power Fire + Toxic is another alternative set that checks Kartana and Mega Scizor while crippling opposing Landorus-T, Zapdos, and Mantine, but it means Landorus-T can neither function as a stellar pivot with U-turn nor defeat opposing Landorus-T as quickly. Defog can potentially be run in place of Stealth Rock for teams that have another Stealth Rock user and lack a Defog user, essentially as an alternative to Gliscor for offensive teams that prefer the greater role compression and lower passivity Landorus-T provides.
