Honestly this game would be a lot more enjoyable if it had enough popularity to have actual people playing it outside. I don't mean like sign up for some discord tranny event once a month at a park and have autists yell at me about THE JAB, I mean like...just go outside and play and hey look..other people playing to socialize with.
I recently picked it back up and have been biking around my neighborhood to the nearby gym and the handful of pokestops in the vicinity...and just...fucking nothing, man. I have never once ever seen anyone play this thing other than myself out there. I know SOME people around here have to play it because the gyms get taken over...eventually. Sometimes my pokemon will be in there for 3-4 days before a take over but it could also just be spoofers teleporting to the gym, not an actual person.
