First encounter in Eterna Forest was Pinsir + Pineco. Obviously Pineco had me scared shitless so I got Atlas to attack it immediately and it went for Bide. Pineco gets 3HKO'd by Bite and Cheryl's sadistic so she was attacking Pinsir the whole time. Luckily, Pinsir is a baller and kills Chansey with a Revenge, so it's a low health Pinsir + low health Pineco against a yellow-health Atlas. Pineco has a near maxed-out Bide that's a guaranteed death (unless I run) so I sacked Dunsparce. Hopefully when I need Rock Smash again I'll have another HM Slave lined up - worst case scenario Nosepass takes one for the team.
So Atlas came back, killed Pineco and skillfully avoided critting Pinsir with Absorb, leaving it in the red. I was a little worried as Pinsir's catch rate is fairly low but we managed to get a very interesting new catch that I'm excited to use. If Teeth the Pinsir gets bug moves any time soon I'd love to use her against Gardenia.
