Time to fight Elesa.. and it went absolutely fucking dreadful.
I figured Palpitoad and my new Dwebble would be able to deal with Elesa well enough, but an immediate crit on Froggy G meant he was gonna eventually lose one-on-one with the first Emolga. Tried to switch into Homeowner, whose poor special defenses left it more vulnerable to Emolga than I imagined (16 nuzlockes deep and I still forget rock doesn't resist electric). At that point the Volt Switch hell started and I kinda lost track. Stupidly locked myself into Rollout with Sausage, some poor luck with Lassie getting paralysed by static, and then just forced to let things die to make progress. In the end Valentine was the only survivor, thankfully it's amazing speed making it faster than Emolga before I got wiped. I don't think I've ever struggled this hard against this fight, everything just spiralled out of control after that first crit.
Quite upset with all these deaths honestly, but we have to completely rebuild the team now. We still have Sinister the Whirlipede in the bank, and Scraggy is a no-brainer since it's Adamant with Moxie, but the rest is kinda meh. Kinda regretting my choice to revive Archen now, but I might bring it anyway. I'm sure we'll recover from this but damn.
>>57602562That does sound like a surprisingly effective strategy, but I personally don't like dedicating an entire team slot into countering a single E4 pokemon unless the rest of the team is absolutely solid.
>>57601022Kinda prefer East Shellos, but I definitely prefer West Gastrodon for the horns.
>>57600343You're not really supposed to use Applin until it evolves. If you have another grass type I do recommend you bring it for Nessa to counter her ace.
>>57600070The three-dimensional movement in XY is entirely linked to the roller skates. Movement without them is linked to the D-Pad, making the movement before you get them feel clunky.
