>>23410975The problem with manual weather is that it's often not worth the effort or pulling out auto-weather is more efficient.
You have TTar for sand. Sand as a team archetype is practically dead so manual sand would be only for weather disruption, in which case TTar is better because TTar is TTar.
You have Abomasnow for Hail. Once more, dedicated hail teams are practically dead
I have no fucking idea why, Hail is super duper good at killing literally everything that is popular right now, except maybe M-Metagross so it's used as disruption. Mostly, towards Rain as Abomasnow can't into TTar or Charizard Y.
Now we got Rain and Sun that can't be used for
"neutral" disruption as commonly like Sand and Hail because they affect way too much shit. The only times you use them for that is when you have both, something in your team that would benefit from the weather you'll set up for disruption AND the weather you will use for disruption completely fuck ups the type of team that completely fuck ups your own team.
Rain, is by far the most popular and solid team archetype for obvious reasons. Manual rain is often used mostly as just backup in case Politoed dies and for a SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER moment. For disruption? Not so much.
Sun is the bastard child of team archetype and disruption. Ninetales is ass and Charizard Y takes up a Mega slow so it's on a kind of awkward position. It's an archetype with moderate use on it's own right but Charizard is more often than not used on teams because Charizard is Charizard and not because people want to make dedicated Sun teams.
tl:dr
Auto-Hail/Sand for disruption. Manual Hail/Sand does not exist. Team archetype is dead.
Rain for team archetype. Manual Rain for surprise motherfucker.
Sun for disruption and team archetype but most team archetype are semi-Sun instead of full-on dedicated Sun.
