Melmetal, to be honest, is the mcdonalds of ML pokemon
It's convenient, readily available and suits your basic needs (getting to Ace) but the more you consume it (play with it) the more problems you're going to have with it because the current ML meta is not something Melmetal has ANY fun with at all
Between Mewtwo & Melmetal you're corebroken by Metagross, Giratina and Yveltal and you don't like Groudon or Kyogre much either
Also I wouldn't advocate for Mewtwo lead since it's most dangerous as the closer or just as a safeswap where your opponent has to worry out loud regarding whether you have Ice Beam for Zygarde-C and Dragonite, Shadow Ball for Metagross and the mirror or Focus Blast for Dialga

It's just a way to milk extra revenue off anyone too stupid to break the habit
