Right now, the two most popular het ships in the Pokemon anime is Ash/Dawn, and Ash/Serena. People largely prefer May with Drew, and Iris with Cilan. I'm not entirely sure Ash/Misty is still widely popular over there, but let's say it is. You'd piss off all the Ash/Dawn and Ash/Misty fans.
