For starters, fangames, mods & hacks (patches included, just look through some ancient PokeCommunity threads) get DMCA'd off of MediaFire all the time, sometimes MEGA as well, largely by a DMCA bot that's searching for specific titles as in, "Pokemon Platinum Hack". If that's the filename, you're likely gonna get DMCA'd. If it's just "Platinum Hack", the bot doesn't care.
This doesn't actually mean anyone's going to start seeking out the uploader for fines or anything if they reupload the dumb thing elsewhere. Essentials users still act like they're totally safe, and it's highly amusing.
