I really don't know, I just liked Pokemon that spun around I tried using one on a Mono-Steel team I had back in Gen 5 before too and didn't really work for obvious reasons. I'm glad it got a mega though, Mawile really deserved one. But it's absolutely more popular now than what it was before.
