Not to mention it was in the Lavender Tower and arguably a ghost so it might not even be an actual "death".
And even if it was, again, that single chapter of the first volume was the first and last time anything like that ever happened.
Zinnia gets FUG'd once too I guess but that's like the one other time something violent happens so that's the one page that gets reposted ad nauseam with Arbok to prove "See, it's violent and mature, it's how pokemon should've always been!!!" even though they're literally two pages in a 20+ years manga run.
