Mud-Slap fucks over Cyndaquil unless you were wise enough to use Smokescreen turn one, but good luck getting through both birds without getting accuracy dropped.
Then in HGSS they upped the levels and kept the accuracy lowering strat but also gave Pidgeotto fucking Roost.
I think him Falkner and Roark are the only 1st Gym Leaders I actively prepare for in playthroughs.
