Z-Moves and megas are returning in respectively part 1 and part 2 :
- Z crystals of any type can be used by any pokemon.
- Z moves are more powerful than MAX moves.
- Specific Z moves will not return.
- Mega evolution is cancelled when you change pokemon in battle.
- You can use only one gimmick per battle. (Dynamax, Z move or mega)

- G-MAX Tyranitar and G-MAX Jigglypuff are real. Part 1.
- Johto and Sinnoh starters get megas. Part 2.
- Mustard and the explorer guy in part 1 and 2 apply upgrade to your dynamax bracelet to use Z moves or mega evolution in battle using galarions.
- In part 1 Sun/Moon characters make an appearance and give you Z crystals but not all of them.
- In part 2 explorer guy give you Charizardite X (Sword) or Charizardite Y (Shield).
- Galarian bird trio is kanto legendary bird trio who evolved because of harsh environment.
