I have had a Pokémon OC character for such a long fucking time, maybe around 12 or 13 years as part of a long running Pokémon rp I am in. So obviously there are challenges in adapting what my retarded teenage self came up with while I to try to make them somewhat less trash, or to make up for other stupid things seemed smart at the time. So while that is fun and kind of a challenge, I have also connected to this character quite a bit over the years despite some of the shit being stupid.
He set off on his pokemon journey with a shiny Ponyta they caught at the Safari zone in Fuschia City in the hopes of learning more about legendary pokemon because they are subconsciously a little obsessed with power. Ponyta was only picked because he is kinda poor/lazy so he could ride and not buy a bike instead of having to walk, the not walking/lazy theme is somewhat carried out with his team which is a mix of convenience Pokémon and pseudo legendary Pokémon.
Anyway, he traveled around for a long while and was kind of a jerk to most people. Eventually things progressively getting kinda worse for him due to very poor luck and running away from all his problems. Sorry, I not going to type out 12 or so years and probably around 700k wordsRP currently has over 8 million words total in it between everyone. out of this unless someone is super interested. Anyway, life eventually caught up with him when he fell off a boat while traveling to Unova and ended up in a coma for a bit while he healed some only to wake up in a few weeks. It was there his bad luck caught up with him again and he ended up kidnapped by dumb gangsters (pokemon gangsters are dumb) and taken to their hide out, unable to really resist due to being hurt and stuck in a wheelchair. The near death experience made him realize that he wasn't really happy with where his life had been going or how he was, so he resolves to change himself into someone he is more proud to be.
