You're delusional if you think Gamefreak can be trusted to rotate a dex fairly, or if you think they won't outright forget shit exists. Dexit isn't about catching them all, it's about people losing their favorites and anyone with half a fucking brain would realize it's in our mutual best interest to have EVERY Pokemon in, regardless of whether or not our favorites actually got cut.
This franchise spent the better part of its life trying to get us to cherish our Pokemon and treat them like beloved pets, more so the past couple of generations with features like Amie that allow for direct interaction with them. Dexit is like taking those beloved pets away from half the playerbase, telling them that MAYBE they'll see them again next game, and that they're just whiny manchildren for being pissed off that their only options are to let them rot in Home or the past gen.
Gamefreak cultivated this mentality, and the expectation of every Pokemon carrying over from generation to generation. People have every right to be pissed off when it's suddenly ripped away, and every right to be distrustful when they've made a habit of removing features and mechanics and never picking them up again for a decade or more. Fuck off with your asinine apologetics.
