Golden age is Gen 1 (start of pokemania and the birth of the franchise, also it keeps it's presence strong across gens)
Silver age is Gen 2 (added more details to the games but aren't as strong in the pokemania sense)
Bronze age is Gen 3 and 4 (revisiting the previous ages and still adapting Japanese regions, added new mechanics and more story elements than the previous 2. Also the start of the remakes)
Dark age Gen 5 (not bad but it did went through a bigger and experimental phase than the previous games, which makes them very polarizing between people who love the gen and people who absolutely despises it)
Rennaisance age is Gen 6 (kept going further with making the region now visit Europe and adding a new type and Megas, there are flaws but some are more willing to excuse them when compared to the next gen)
Dork age is Gen 7 (they tried something with SM but the mess was bigger and USUM didn't help)
