Back when i was a kid in elementary school and pokemon was the huge craze for the while I came across a magazine at the local 7-Eleven that showed off all the new Jhoto pokemon for the 2nd gen. I bought it with the little money I had an pretty much began memorizing each and every mon.
For some reason I just cant explain, Magcargo stuck out for me. I really cant explain it, maybe as a kid I just enjoyed creatures with shell's but Magcargo just became a favorite of mine. Whats not to love, its a magma snail. Finally when the fourth gen came out and I got back into pokemon my friend helped me catch my best bro and despite everything he just has a special place in my heart as my #1 favorite pokemon. Its a crime really, that he is almost unusable. It didnt take me long to figure out my best bro could barley stay up long enough to hit anything, much less tank despite having a perfect move pool for it. And sadly I cant say I know anyone else who really likes Magcargo as much as me so I feel Game Freak will never do anything to help him out.
Still I will never abandon him as my favorite pokemon.
