>>33688516The lion's share of my opinion rests on the new Pokemon that are added to the games each gen. Pokemon is about building a team of monsters that you actually like, first and foremost. I'm hardly going to like a gen if I dislike most of the Pokemon.
Gen 6, despite having a small dex, has an amazing ratio of high quality pokemon designs.
It also has the largest amount of pokemon available in a single game if I recall correctly. This makes it ideal for Nuzlocking and what not.
