I don't give a shit about worldview encounters when grass did the job just fine and the level design also isn't done right for them, I don't give a shit about 3D graphics when 2D was better, I don't give a fuck about animations because the novelty wears off and I turn them off after seeing them a couple times due to them wasting your time, I don't give a fuck about human characters because that's not what the series was about beyond YOUR character.
I just want lots of Pokémon and ways to find and use them when and if I feel like it.
Story is fine but it shouldn't be forced, it should mostly be things you find throughout the world OF YOUR OWN VOLITION like the diaries in Gen 1 or Canalave Library in Gen 4. Open world done right, in other words. That's what I mean by like BotW when I say it. There was plenty of places to find and do shit, especially in a post apocalyptic setting.
We don't need empty bit empty squares of a world, routes etc. are fine, they just need to be bigger and more packed with shit to do.
People praised the hell out of DQXIS here and this is one of the things I agree it did right - realistic sized areas to move around in (though still lacking in content for my taste, but at least it has a bit of an excuse like BotW).
A good game would bring everything back and ideally QoL update it. I don't even care if there's new stuff in the first game this happens because that in and of itself would be a 300+ hour game. This is what Let's Go should've been, in fact. Return to the roots and bring everything back, THEN do new on top of it instead of making it LESS like modern games and then saying it's the new basis for the series. Choke on my dick Masuda.
For the millionth time, what I want is:
