In both cases, the original Japanese character is a dude who cross-dresses purely for practical reasons.
In the case of June, that reason is that it allows him to work as a daycare nurse.
Neither of these characters actually hide the fact that they're men, AT MOST they might enjoy dressing up as women but that's it.
They don't have any kind of gender dysphoria, and no mtf tranny would ever openly admit to being a guy.
Of course the west has been having a weird obsession with trannies in one way or the other so they're either coloring these characters as being trans or getting mad at that notion without even questioning it.
Either way, both sides are retarded here. These characters are mentally sane and fine with the gender they were born with.
