Murdoch doesn't actually know what that outfit is based off of, since he canonically has no idea what a Latias or a Latios is. So pay no attention to the lies and deceit spread by corrupt individuals! Despite him not being in a state of abject terror this time, he didn't put this costume on of his own free will, either. If you're wondering why his hair suddenly got a bit shorter, well... that's a secret.

For his very first costume, he wanted to wear a generic 'mad scientist' outfit, but he couldn't find a belt that fit his small frame. In the end, he made a last minute pick of dressing up as the guy in Saturday Night Fever. What, did you think he'd dress up as a Pokémon? He wouldn't willingly do that... but you knew that already, right?
