>>51736775I’ve told this story here before, but it’s similar to yours.
My step-sister had this friend who had childhood cancer. He was rich and spoiled because his mom thought he was gonna die. We went to his birthday party one year which had a whole petting zoo and multiple bouncy houses and shit, but I was 5+ years older than all the kids there so I mostly stayed inside. I found his GBA and games and he had Emerald version, which had just come out and I hadn’t been able to get yet. I played it for a little bit, then swapped it out for another game and slipped the cart into my pocket. My father confronted me about it after the kid found out his game was missing but I never admitted to anything. I eventually got my own copy of Emerald and gave the stolen copy to my sister (no relation to my step-sister, didn’t know cancer kid) who still has it. The kid beat his cancer and is alive and well today, not sure if he ever got another copy though.
