Both are pretty sinister looking Pokemon, both learn ONLY Normal and Dark type moves by level (besides Power Gem on Persian), both were associated with the only villain team for the first two gens, and both have Pokedex entries that state they're needlessly aggressive and violent. Why couldn't GF have just retyped them to Dark-type in Gen II?
