>>47017743Never played it. Notable fangames I've played:
>RebornThe OG, complete with playthrough if you check the /vp/ archives for the playthrough with my thoughts. Not sure if I should continue it since nobody can remember it now.
>RejuvenationAlmost everything bad about Reborn made way worse with sheet unoriginality, but at least also more entertaining due to the absurd lengths it goes. Has similar strengths with Reborn (side content, CBT-tier difficulty) but on average very slightly better in the exploration department.
>DesolationThe third big reborn-like game, comes excruciatingly close to being actually good but about halfway through it tosses out most of what made it approach being good and doubles down on the cinematic experience surrounding characters you can barely give a fuck about. At least, has a wide selection of music from lots of sources (not just fucking 'YOU MADE PAPA MASUDA CLAP BACK' GlitchxShitty for fucking everything) and I'm fairly impressed by how the dev fucked with the music himself to really build atmosphere.
>Full MoonEasily the worst by every metric, there is nothing enjoyable to be had here except a few choice dumb moments as pictured last thread. The plodding gameplay and writing I have to trudge through to get to them is not worth it. I'm unlikely to be covering it more.
>GaiaVery vanilla, which is a good thing for most people.
>XenoverseEasily the best I've played thanks to a good mix of novelty, music, and entertaining plot (which also gets dumb as fuck unfortunately). Team Dimension is a masterclass in fun villain teams.
I'm looking for more retarded stories mixed with decent gameplay, last thread someone recommended Daybreak so I'm likely checking them out next.
