I sent a shiny Totodile to the PC without realizing that it was shiny to only notice that it was when I was releasing a few boxes worth of Totodiles that weren't shiny.
There was also a shiny Dratini that I said looked "sus" when it hatched because it looked more pink than usual and I thought the TN panel on my 2DS was fucking with me. It was hard to tell between light blue and light pink on that screen.
