My original save data got corrupted. I lost a bunch of my Pokemon, including all my legendaries from previous gens.
I still had some Pokemon in 5th gen so I decided, "Fuck it! I'll try this again." However, I decided to pick six random Pokemon using a random number generator. I bred those and transferred the level 1 offspring to sixth gen, then used them throughout the game.
The funniest moment in the game came when I did the first gym. One of the trainers there said, "See how fast Bug Pokemon evolve!"
I then sent out Larvesta.
