Odin has two wolf warriors named Geri and Freki, Romulus and Remus were suckled by a wolf mother and founded Rome, and the constellations of Canis Major and Canis Minor are guardians of the underworld in Hinduism. They're supposed to follow that symbolism of sibling warriors.
