I never really liked Hawlucha's design all that much, but my ultra moon team had a few ground weaknesses, several dark and two bug and grass weaknesses. I was looking for pokemon that would fit the bill and Hawlucha was the perfect fit typewise. The design eventually started to grow on me. It erased Alola's plentiful dark types with HJK, switched in to ground types for free and nailed them with grass knot from its surprisingly decent special attack, and eviscerated all bugs and grasses with itemless acrobatics. It soon became my MVP and the lynchpin on my team. Gained my immense respect, and managed to sweep most of haus team with ease. Habanero is my bro now.
